… And its good to have you home again.
I have been on something of a home repair/change kick as off late. I picked up a cordless drill a while ago, that also came with a flash light and air compressor that ran off of the same battery pack. That is great except for you can only use one at a time and only if the battery is charged. So while I was at Lowe’s picking up stuff I also bought a new pack for it.
On another trip to the mall I swung by Sears and got a nice set of bits for it. They aren’t just drill bits, but are also adapters and such for various things.
Then just last Monday while P was starting to do the dishes, one of the knobs on the kitchen sink broke. After a quick trip to Lowe’s I had replaced it with very little trouble.
So then since that was so easy we decided to replace the faucets in the bathrooms. That turned out to be a little tougher as one of the rubber washers in one the supply lines was screwed up (it had been screwed up for a while), so I couldn’t hook that line up without it leaking. So I had to wait until Lowe’s opened the next day to go and get the $2 washer, which meant that the water stayed off all night.
Also while I was a Lowe’s getting the bathroom faucets, I picked up an electronic thermostat for the place. I called Jim before hand to ask him if there were any gotchas that I might need to look out for. He told me what was going on with them and so I got the one that I needed on the first try. Not too much trouble getting that one in either and it is working good now too. Hopefully it will save me a little bit in the winter, as it tends to run the heating coils a little less than I think the other one does.
